Y2Buy rules
Y2Buy is a platform that introduces people who want to rent household things nearby. Y2Buy does not own the items, does not deliver them, and does not take the rental payment. The two neighbors pay that between themselves at pickup.
Y2Buy’s only charge is the renter’s $1.99 booking fee after the owner accepts. That fee is for using the platform. It is not insurance, and it is not a promise about the item, the meetup, or the other person.
By using Y2Buy, you agree to these rules.
You choose whether to list, request, meet, and hand an item over. You use your own judgment. You are responsible for your listing, your request, the meetup, the item, and anything that happens between you and the other neighbor.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Y2Buy, its owners, and its companies are not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute from a listing, a rental, a meetup, or the other neighbor. You agree not to sue Y2Buy or those companies for those things.
These rules cover everyone who uses the application, whether they list an item or ask to borrow one. If part of these rules cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
If something is damaged or lost
The renter agrees to return the item on time and in the same condition, apart from normal wear. If it is damaged, lost, or not returned, the renter is responsible for making it right with the owner by repairing it, replacing it, or paying what the two neighbors agree is fair.
Before the handoff, check the item together and take photos. Agree in the chat on what it is worth and when it comes back.
The two neighbors settle any problem between themselves. Y2Buy does not hold deposits, provide insurance, collect damage payments, or decide who is right. Lend only what you would be comfortable settling directly with a neighbor.
If a neighbor stops responding or behaves badly, use Report in the app. Y2Buy can remove listings, but it cannot recover an item or money. For theft or a safety problem, contact the police.
